An employee in this occupation will be responsible for guiding and facilitating the (re)design of a service, product, or solution; ensuring the work is user centred. Assessment
The End-Point Assessment has two assessment methods:
Assessment Method One
Work-Based Project with Presentation and Questioning
Assessment Method Two
Professional Discussion Underpinned by a Portfolio of Evidence
Method One: Work-Based Project with Presentation and Questioning
Apprentices complete a work-based service design project and present their approach and outcomes to an independent assessor. They’ll demonstrate how they research user needs, develop and test service solutions, work with stakeholders and evaluate the impact of their design, explaining and justifying their decisions.
Method Two: Professional Discussion Underpinned by a Portfolio of Evidence
Apprentices use workplace examples from their portfolio to demonstrate how they apply service design knowledge and skills in practice. They’ll discuss areas such as user-centred design, collaboration, stakeholder engagement, service improvement and professional practice, responding to questions from the assessor.
