Learning & Development Consultant / Business Partner – Level 5

Standard Overview

The Learning and Development (L&D) Consultant / Business Partner apprenticeship is designed to develop the professional standard required of people working as L&D consultants / business partners in organisations across the private, public and third sectors.

The L&D consultant / business partner is accountable for ensuring L&D contributes to, and influences, improved performance in the workplace at an individual, team and organisation level. They also have the commercial responsibility to align learning needs with the strategic ambitions and objectives of the business.

L&D consultant/business partners typically work alongside colleagues who specialise in human resources (i.e., employee relations, reward, recruitment), often supported by an L&D administrator and / or L&D practitioner. They report to a senior L&D manager, head of department or director. In larger organisations, they may be one of a team supporting the business and may have responsibility for managing people and a budget.

Facilitation of Assessment

• Interviews and presentations are conducted using web conferencing platforms and we’re flexible enough to use a platform of the employer’s choosing when required.
• Written exams, MCQs and Case Studies are carried out online using an invigilated assessment platform
• Portfolios and Projects are submitted to DSW in digital format for assessment
• Our assessments are also administered using an online platform, epaPRO, which provides training providers with access to results, reports and dashboards.

This is all supported by named account managers and operations contacts who are here to support you at each step of the EPA journey.
